Please Allow Me to Introduce Myself…

I think that might be the opening line of an old rap song… Am I right? Anyway…

This being the very first post on this creative forum I’m calling “The Ivey”, I thought I should talk a bit about what this whole blog will be focusing on and who’s even writing this!

I’m Erin - a professional home stager and interior stylist. I’m the brains, brawn and everything in between for Iverson Staging & Design. Basically, I have a passion for home décor, interior design, paint colours – you name it, if it makes a home beautiful, I’m into it! I’m also into sharing that passion with others (and I really love real estate) – which is why Iverson Staging & Design was born. I wanted to help home owners create stunning spaces for home buyers to fall in with. It’s really a win win for everyone, including me! It also means that I’m rearranging furniture and changing the paint colours in someone else’s home instead of my own, which relieves my husband!

~ Oh, and finally, I’m also super into my two adorable sons and my really handsome aforementioned hubby.

When I’m not busy making homes beautiful, I wanted to have a creative outlet to share with the world all of my great ideas… or at least to share with the world all of my crazy ideas! So, this blog was born. Here, I’m hoping to discuss a lot of what makes me tick – making a house into a sophisticated home that reflects each person’s tastes and loves; and, creating gorgeous spaces that help to sell homes.

I want this blog to inspire you to learn to decorate and to pass along some tips on how to make your home reflect your style. I want to empower you with ideas for staging your own home to ensure you sell for the highest value possible. You’ll be able to stop by here once a week to get your fill of interior styling tips, tricks and techniques to help you create the home of your dreams or the home that buyers dream of!

When your friends and neighbours ask where you came up with your latest creative genius idea for paint colour or chic décor style, you’ll be able to say “I heard it on The Ivey”… you know, like “I heard it through the grapevine”… corny – yep, I think we better end it here before things get OOC!

I hope you’ll stop by every week and if you have any questions or want to get in touch, please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment.

Thanks – until next week!

~ Erin
